Claudia Lange (* 1977 Leipzig) studied nature studies at the Leipzig Academy of Music from 1990-92, and from 1992-97 evening classes at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts (HGB Leipzig) – nature studies, painting and sculpture. Later, she attended evening classes at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (HfBK Dresden) and also had a studio in Dresden. Since 2010, she has had a studio in Leipzig. She has participated in various exhibitions (source: artist's website). This is a high-contrast and somewhat abstract landscape scene in green-blue, yellow and violet, painted in a flat and impasto style, creating an atmospheric depiction. The panel measures approximately 48 x 37 cm, and the frame measures approximately 59.5 x 47.5 cm. There is a chip on the outer right side of the frame.
