Öl auf Holzplatte, unten rechts signiert *Willy Moralt*, Willy Moralt (* 1884 München, † 1947 Lenggries) war ein deutscher Genre- und Landschaftsmaler, heute vor allem als künstlerischer Erbe von Carl Spitzweg bekannt, erhielt ersten Zeichenunterricht von seinem Vater Paul Moralt, dieser hatte selbst bei Carl Spitzweg gelernt und gab die Begeisterung weiter, außerdem erhielt Moralt einige Skizzenbücher aus Spitzwegs Nachlass, überdies malte er auch lichtdurchflutete bayrische Landschaften im Naturalismus wie Rudolf Reschreiter und Edward Harrison Compton (Quelle Auktionshaus Lempertz, Wikipedia), so auch hier ein Werk in naturalistischer Malweise, Darstellung einer wohlhabenden Familie beim Ausflug in die Naturidylle auf einem Hügel, links im Bild eine kleine ländliche Siedlung, verträumte Stimmung, Holzplatte ca. 55 x 40 cm, im goldenen Prunkrahmen mit Eckapplikationen ca. 66 x 49 cm.

Willy Moralt (* 1884 Munich, † 1947 Lenggries) was a German genre and landscape painter, known today primarily as the artistic heir of Carl Spitzweg. He received his first drawing lessons from his father, Paul Moralt, who had himself studied under Carl Spitzweg and passed on his enthusiasm. Moralt also received several sketchbooks from Spitzweg's estate. Furthermore, he painted light-filled Bavarian landscapes in the Naturalist style, similar to Rudolf Reschreiter and Edward Harrison Compton (source Lempertz auction house, Wikipedia). This work is also in a Naturalist style, depicting a wealthy family on an outing in a natural idyll on a hill. To the left of the picture is a small rural settlement. The painting has a dreamy atmosphere. Wood panel approx. 55 x 40 cm, in a gold ornate frame with corner appliqués approx. 66 x 49 cm.
